Barry Neagle

Brand Launcher Business Mentor

Barry Neagle is a Brand Launcher mentor who specializes in helping small to mid-size business owners who want to take their business in a new direction to meet the changing needs of their markets or personal lifestyle.  He focuses on helping them drive growth in revenue and profits, increase their focus on customers and employees, and improve time management and work-life balance.

Barry had an extensive career working with IBM, starting off in sales and marketing, later being appointed a General Manager. He ran several start-ups operations within IBM, growing an e-Commerce business from nothing to $100M in 3 years. He also established a new IT consulting practice for Ernst & Young in Rhode Island, and grew it to a profitable new business area within a year.

As a sales person for IBM he spent several years working closely with business owners on mapping out technology strategies.  This provided an excellent background for understanding the challenges faced by companies during periods of substantial growth. His consulting work has been with a variety of businesses and industries including the technology, marketing, design, communications, and education industries.

When the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce began to offer an annual Entrepreneur’s Weekend for aspiring new businesses, Barry was part of the first three events, offering business plan coaching throughout each 3-day event. The most recent team he worked with won first prize during the weekend for their plan to offer new environmentally friendly wood stove fuels.

He is active in his community and has served on the board of directors of the Cape and Islands United Way, The Cotuit Civic Association, and the Historical Society of Santuit and Cotuit. Barry is currently serving on the Board of Children’s Cove on Cape Cod. He received a BA from Brown University in Economics and an MBA in Marketing from the Wharton School. He lives with his wife, Mary Lou, in a 125 year old captain’s house in Cotuit, where he installed photovoltaic solar panels. Barry is an enthusiastic golfer and grandfather.
